I was invited to speak with Beya Thayer (Executive Director, Yavapai Justice & Mental Health Coalition) on Thursday at the Arizona State Senate Legislative Subcommittee for jail reentry programs. Thanks to our Pathways to Community staff and partners along with Yavapai's reentry team we were able to highlight the successes of our programs as we continue to address the needs of the community. Lots of questions from committee members and positive feedback. Looking forward to the future of reentry programming.
Commander Gerrit Boeck and I took a trip to Tuba City and visited with Police Lieutenant Fabian Thinn, Commander Martin Page out of Kayenta, and Criminal Investigator Alvernon Tsosie about various topics to further our partnerships. We were grateful to be welcomed as they expressed gratitude for our recent Search and Rescue assistance for a missing woman near Cameron. We are looking forward to lasting relationships and the placement of a veteran Deputy in the Tuba City substation.
